AISI 202 grade – X12CrMnNiN 18-9-5

202 grade is a non-magnetic, austenitic steel introduced to the market as an economical alternative to grade 304.

Nickel (Ni) provides corrosion resistance and non-magneticity. While the nickel (Ni) rate is 1-2% in the Far East, it is around 4-5% in Europe.

Weldability is moderately good. Corrosion resistance is close to 304 quality but lower. Corrosion does not occur up to 700 °C. It is definitely not recommended for use in chloride environments.

Alternative Grades: AISI 204Cu, 304

Available forms: Bar, Flat, Wire, Coil, Sheet, Strip, Pipe, Profile.

Types In Stock: Bar, Coil, Sheet, Strip
