Stainless steel sheet (stainless steel sheet) is the most common form of stainless steel. Stainless steel flat materials are generally produced in rolls up to 12 mm thick. 14 mm, and later production is made as a plate. All sizes of stainless steel can be turned into sheets by cutting to length from the roll and slitting if necessary, and offered for sale.
In our Stainless Steel Service Center, the width, length, and surfaces of the plates can be customized according to the needs by passing through the cut-to-length, slitting, or grinding lines in the machine park.
The materials are leveled (rectified) in the cut-to-length line and then given linearity before being cut to the required length. In the interim, the material can be coated with paper or PVC. By providing supplies in the customer’s preferred sizes rather than standard sizes, waste is reduced.
In contrast to the aforementioned longitudinal cut, a width cut is produced in the slitting line. As a result, the roll’s width achieves the appropriate width. The material might be coated with paper or PVC in the interim. Slitted sheets can be cut to length afterward, and the material can then be transformed into stainless steel sheet. If necessary, the material is ground and provided precisely in accordance with the customer’s request. By providing material in the customer-requested widths rather than the conventional widths, waste is therefore avoided.
Brushed surfaces are obtained by applying surface grinding to flat materials with 2B or BA surfaces in the grinding line. In the meantime, paper or PVC coating can be applied to the material. The most frequently encountered stony surfaces are No4 and Scotch Brite surfaces. Unlike the 2D matte surface, on which skinpass is applied on cold drawing and annealing, stony surfaces are preferred more often in decoration, especially in built-in products.
Stainless steel sheet/plate is versatile and used in a variety of applications. It is primarily selected for its resistance to corrosion, longevity and formability.
Typical uses of stainless steel sheet/plate include, construction, food service applications, transportation, chemical, marine, and textile industries.
The capacity of the machinery park in our Stainless Steel Service Center has been physically planned and implemented to make all the stainless steel plates produced in the world suitable for customer demand. This means that all kinds of stainless steel plates produced in the world can be obtained from Hisco Steel by adapting to customer demand.
You can find all the quality and dimensions of stainless steel sheets commercially available in the world in Hisco Steel‘s ready stocks. You can also contact the Hisco Steel team for special grades that are not in stock.
