Stainless steel welded tubes are one of the unfilled (hollow) materials in the stainless steel long group. A round-section form is called a pipe; square or rectangular-section forms are called profiles.

Stainless steel pipes are divided into two as they are stitched and drawn. Among these two products, the production processes of which are completely different from each other, the more common use is welded pipes. Welded pipes are produced by welding slitting sheets into strips. According to the usage areas, HF, Laser, or TIG welding are the most common welding methods. While decorative pipes and profiles are produced by the HF (High Frequency) method, industrial pipes are produced by TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) or laser welding.

The commercial size range of stainless steel welded pipes is from 12×1 mm to 323.9×4 mm. However, it is possible to produce many standard and non-standard sizes of welded pipes. Stainless steel pipes can be produced with raw, brushed, satin, or glossy surfaces according to their usage areas.
